House of Social

Is all about social solutions and education! It helps individuals with their daily social challenges with tailored consulting solutions. Through social trainings and prevention education, it enables people to transform their lives with better skills to fill their social gap.

Drop In Center & outreach work

Is a service for children and women, but also for men needing counselling support. The drop in center offers a place where people can obtain temporary shelter and other services as health care, legal support, etc. The outreach work consists  to bring services and information to people outside the center.

In Hue, the number of street children and children facing social difficulties in their lives is important. Hue is a tourist area attracting many people from within and outside the country and the offer as the demand for sex with women and children unfortunately exist. Vulnerable children are easy to become prey for predators and prostitution is a solution studied by women seeking money. In the street, it is usual for tourists to be approached by motorbikers offering women and girls. “Sir… Young ladies… miam miam, boom boom…” Following the report of the Department of Social affairs of the province, crimes involving children and sexuality are high and requires that local social organizations have an effective and feasible solution to address this issue.

The “House of Social” will also spread prevention education in communities and ethnic groups. An information campaign against the use of children for sexual purposes will be spread in hotels, airports and taxi companies. A “No Prostitution here” logo will be given to hotels that agree to sign the charter against prostitution as a guarantee sign for customers and tourism agencies. In addition, our local partner will cooperate with the police against prostitution networks.

AAT has developed a similar pilot program in Ho Chi Minh City in 1998 and started another one in Thailand in 2017.

Note about Hue: since the 90’s, Hue is one of Vietnam’s most open cities to tourists, preserving a unique environment. The international cultural exchanges and the Hue Festival have largely contributed to its international development. However, Hue loves to preserve its culture and environment instead of selling every nice place to build hotels and resorts. This province is different from many others.
